In recognition of the the outstanding leadership qualities and contributions of His Excellency the Governor of Katsina State, Rt. Honorable Aminu Bello Masari CFR, towards inclusive growth and development of Katsina State, through which the state has been able to utilize collective action from the local level to effect changes at both local, regional and national level, as agents of social change in Nigeria, and his passion towards economic empowerment of the citizenry; having laid impregnable legacy for the future prosperity of Katsina state through strategic focus and commitment.
The board and management of Africa Leadership Magazine Group UK and The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, USA have finalized presentations and arrangements to confer the U.S CONGRESSIONAL COMMENDATION AWARD on His Excellency the Governor and in the same vein induct him into the AFRICAN LEADERSHIP HALL OF FAME in a colorful ceremony billed to hold during the visit of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus' to Nigeria on the 4th day of October 2016.
Past recipients of the African Leadership Award include;
His Excellency Hifikepunye Pohamba, former President of Namibia
His Excellency Jakaya Kilkwete, former President of Tanzania
His Excellency Dr Ernest Bai Koroma, President of Sierra Leone
Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia

Dr Mo Ibrahim, Founder Ibrahim Prize for Leadership
Chief Oba Otudeko of the Honeywell Group, amongst others.
The award and induction were conveyed through a letter signed by the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of the African Leadership Magazine Dr. Ken Giami.
