It's today that the Katsina State Governor, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari held an Interactive Session with Working Journalists in the state. Addressing journalist, by the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalist Katsina State Chapter, Alhaji Buhari Mamman Daura said this Media Chat was introduced to make happenings in government to be known to the ordinary citizens of the Katsina State and for the government to hear the feelings at the grassroots.
The Chairman of the Media Chat Committee, Abduhamidu Sabo, Blueprint Newspaper Correspondent, expressed his gratitude to the Governor Masari for the opportunity given to working journalists to hold the interactive session with the Governor, assuring that the event will be covered as part of the one Year Anniversary of the APC Change Administration in the State.
During the Questions and Answers Session, Governor Masari said about Ten Billion Naira (N10 Billion) has been injected into the hands of individuals in the state, where Seventy Percent 70% of the funds goes to the payment of Pension and Gratuity of Retired Civil Servants, which affected the Lives of the masses. Governor Masari also said Sixty Five Billion Naira (N65 Billion) was received by the Katsina State Government from the Federation Account since the inception of APC administration in the State.
However, Governor Masari said due to the shortfall in Revenue from the Federation Account, even this Month, the State Government had to source Eight Hundred Million Naira (N800 Million) to effect payment of salaries for Staff of Local Governments and Teachers.
His Excellency, Rt Hon. Aminu Bello Masari took more than two hours to explain the journey so far of the Present Administration in its Restoration Agenda on Education; said the contracts was awarded for rehabilitation of infrastructures and provision of learning materials for both Primary and Secondary Schools across the state, Health; contract was awarded for remodeling and rehabilitation, equipping the three General Hospitals of three Geographical Zones of the State and other Health outlets. Agriculture; procurement of fertilizer for Wet and Dry Season Farmers, Security; tackling the menace of the cattle rustling that became a devastating problem to the people living in the Rural Areas and restoring peace in the some areas of the state. Water Supply; ongoing project of the Ajiwa Dam Water Work to supply portable drinking water to the Katsina metropolis, the successful completion of the Malumfashi and Kankara Water Work, the ongoing Zobe Dam Water Work Project to supply portable water piping through the Kankiya, Charanci LGAs and Eleven other LGAs. And Human Capital Development based on the resources available to the Government within the last ten Months of the APC Administration.

GOVERNOR MASARI RECEIVES A DELEGATION OF THE USA EMBASSY
Today this evening of 14 day of April, 2016. The Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari and some members of the Katsina State Executive Council received a delegation from the Embassy of the United State of America led by Alan R. Tousignant, a Counselor for Economic Affairs.
This delegation from the United State of America were here in Katsina State purposely to discussed ways and seek an approval for partnership with Katsina State Government to diversifying the state economy.
Issues were discussed interestingly by both the members of the Executive Council of Katsina State and the delegation of the United State Embassy on how to diversify and boost Katsina State Economy in various sectors. Agriculture and Industrialization are the major part of their discussion.

KATSINA STATE 2016 BUDGET, A LIGHT OF PROGRESS
It was on last Month, 22nd of March, 2016, that the Appropriation Committee of the Katsina State House of Assembly under the Chairmanship of Hon Faruk Hambali, Member Representing Katsina Local Government, led by the Hon Speaker, Katsina State House Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Sabi'u Muduru, who passed the Appropriation Bill to the Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Masari for signing it into law, it was finally signed into law.
Katsina State 2016 Budget was indeed designed in a way that touched human life aspect relevant to the needs of the people of Katsina State, right from the Social Services to Infrastructure development, what a welcome development!
If we could recalled, Katsina State Government have prioritize about five sectors in the 2016 Budget with the highest shares; Education, Health, Agriculture, Water Supply and Roads Construction which carries about 25% of the total amount budgeted.
These areas that were prioritized by His Excellency, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari, considered their tremendous important benefits to the lives of people of Katsina State especially in creating jobs opportunities to the unemploy youth and improving the fare of the common man across the state.
The 2016 Budget was designed with some Special Projects in the above mentioned Priority Areas.
In considering the positive impact of education to the societies, as a grass root of every economic development of a nation, Education Sector has carries the highest share of the 2016 Budget that inorder to enhance learning and teaching processes, this share are to be utilize for rehabilitation of both Secondary and Primary Schools infrastructures and provision of furnitures for both teachers and students for conducive learning environment and good atmosphere of learning and teaching process, and it will give every child acess to an education.
In the Health Sector, there were plans of drugs supply and distribution as free for maternal and children, accident victims and patients with special health problems, while in the infrastructures development of the Health Sector, there was also remodeling and rehabilitation of the three General Hospital from the three geographical zone of the state which is now in progress. Therefore, there also a plan of equipping and rehabilitation of other General Hospitals across the state.
As the Katsina State was known with the vast land of farming, the 2016 Budget was also indicated a plan of this administration of 2016 Wet Season Fertilizer procurement for improving the local farming and ease the common challenges that our farmers are facing in the inadequacy of fertilizer, this would enormously assist our farmers to improve their production, irrigation and livestock farmers were also not exception in the 2016 Budget.
It is one of the mission of this government to revitalize the Water Supply, for ensuring enough pipe board water supply, safe and portable in the Rural Areas and Urban Areas across the state for both human and animal consumption, it enclosed the works of Ajiwa Dam Water Supply, Kankara and Malumfashi Dam into the 2016 Budget, this would insha Allah solve the problem of inadequacy of the portable drinking water across the state, the works of these Dams are still ongoing.
Many promises were made during the APC Campaign Tour, one of these promises is Roads Construction, which was also enclosed in the 2016 Budget for fulfillment. This administration has inherited some number of Road Projects which are yet to be completed, and promised for their completion was undertook and construction of new ones in the 2016 Budget was also put in place.
In the hands of His Excellency, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari Katsina State is progressing, one day Katsina State would be counted among the most developing state in this country.
