DISCOURSE WITH CHAIRMAN OF THE MASARI RESTORATION AWARENESS FORUM

DISCOUSE WITH CHAIRMAN OF THE MASARI RESTORATION AWARENESS FORUM.

MAKING A POLICY IS BETTER THAN NOT, NO MATTER THE CONSEQUENCES - Hassan Usman Datti

MAKING A POLICY ON ANY MATTER IS BETTER THAN NOT, NO MATTER THE CONSEQUENCES

Katsina State Government has made a policy in the education sector concerning the payment of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) fees to the students enrolled in the Public Schools, by introducing a bench mark score of five credits in a Mock  Examination sort of for the students to qualify and benefit from such Executive largesse

Worthy of note is  that, the administration is poised to provide quality and standard education to the teeming pupil in the state regardless from city or village get access to it

That was why, Education Sector has became one of the priority sector worthy of concentration of His Excellency Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari by putting all his weight and energy to revive the glory of Katsina State as cradle of knowledge which it is known for, over time and history.

It is very unfortunate, to read how people are showing dissatisfaction with the outcomes of this year's Mock Examination, for the failure of the students to score the required credits which supposedly all the accusing fingers should be on the students.

The government have done its part by providing the manpower, classes and materials. Parents should also do their part to make sure their wards are morally brought up, going to the school regularly and  working very hard, to meet the requisites and trudge the hurdles of class work and attitudinal and behavioral needs.

All of us, have an obligation to the education sector, government alone can't make everything excellent in this capital intense and highly demanding sector, in the process of reviving the system, it need our collective inputs to carry out this task. It is my prayers to all, as I commit my pen to paper, that Parents Teachers Association (PTA) would be more than ever before be committed in creating the understanding that would add value to the system in Katsina State, it is an issue that requires our total and complete involvement, if we really want education to progress and be qualitative for the teeming population of the younger generation to compete in the global arena, really, we must get involved. Folding our arms and being neutral will not solve anything.

The past regime has made an effort in the payment of Exams Fees to the teeming students  despite of the poor outcomes, thus resulted in, wastage of public fund and very warrysome. The most considerable issue here is that, out of the total number of students that benefited the payment of SSCE Fees during the tenure of the past government, out of their percentage of those who sat both WAEC/NECO and NABTEB of the cumulative five years, only the range of 25% to 30% scored the required papers while the remaining 70% and 75% failed, which means that the payment did not yielded any tangible outcome which, if it had been sorted out would have saved much for others to have a place.

This administration, decided to spend the fund judiciously meant for payment of SSCE in order to revive the system of education instead of paying for the loss which seemingly will bring the desired goals devoid of waste.

The machineries of government, Executive, Legislature and judiciary have a legal right to ascribe policies with consent and approval of the each other. It is prior to the council deliberations on this matters that prompted for execution and implementation.

I just highlighted the functions of the arms of government in order to draw our attention on how the power is being exercised by these machineries of government with out overpowering one another, and remind us that, executives alone have no legal power to made policies with out the consent of other arms.

At this juncture, let me make it clear that, there is different between the issue of drop out students and issue of the students that failed Mock Examination. Drop out students are those student that failed to made their SSCE and end up with nothing after their passing out and decided to mingle and hang around with thugs in the society while the students that failed their Mock Exams, they still have chance to enroll for the second and third chance at their various Secondary Schools to sit again for the Mock Exams inorder to qualify for the SSCE in the subsequent year and benefit the government payment.

To be fair and sincere, between the past and present regime on the issue of education, the past administration has done their best in the payment of the SSCE fees with out tracking and solving the problematic factors (root causes) that thwarted the progress of education across the state, by the coming of this regime in May 2015, it has set several committees on Education with number of term of references, such that problems and needs assessment, in order to find out and bring to the notice of government, the generic factors inhibiting the progress of the education and advise the  government on long term measures to address the situation which was instantly applied and bring the issue back on track and effort is in this direction to making it into reality.

I am sure  we are all witnessed how the far journey has fared so far, in terms of building of new structures, renovation and remodel, provision of learning and instructional materials, others are laboratory equipments which so far we must admit is as well so good, and something tangible has been achieved in education sector.

GOVERNOR MASARI'S 2017 BUDGET SPEECH

GOVERNOR AMINU BELLO MASARI'S 2017 BUDGET SPEECH.

INTRODUCTION
Alhamdulillah. I wish to begin by expressing my sincere appreciation to Allah (SWT) for sparing our lives and for giving us the strength and wisdom to stand before you today and present the 2017 Budget Estimates, which is tagged “Budget of Stabilization”.

I have no doubt in my mind that from the date we took over the administration of Katsina State, the art and process of governance in the State have completely changed to a process where people always come first.

Mr. Speaker, Honourable Members of Katsina State House of Assembly, I wish to reassure you that the present administration is strictly following its designed policies and programmes for the general well being of the people of Katsina State.

We once again express our gratitude to Allah for guiding us to success.

2016 BUDGET REVIEW
It is common knowledge to all Nigerians in general and people of Katsina State in particular, that the 2016 financial year came with so many challenges. Governments at all levels were and are still battling with dwindling oil revenue arising from the world wide fall of crude oil prices, economic saboteurs, militants in the Niger Delta, Insurgents, Kidnappers, Cattle Rustlers and so on. These have greatly affected revenue generation at all levels. Without these revenues, Governments find it difficult to perform to the expectations of the people. Despite all these,

Katsina State Government was able to accomplish a lot in the areas of Education, Health, provision of potable drinking water for both human and animal consumption, Infrastructural Development, Poverty Alleviation, Economic Empowerment, Security, etc.

Mr. Speaker, Honourable Members of the State House of Assembly, other distinguished guests, let me therefore seize this opportunity to review the performance of the 2016 Budget in the process of uplifting the lives and standard of living of the people of Katsina State.

INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT
The 2016 Budget which was tagged “Restoration of Hope” was designed to restore the hope of the people of Katsina State. The intention was to complete all ongoing projects across the State and rehabilitate and upgrade dilapidated structures in addition to executing new ones. Part of the road construction projects which the present administration inherited include Marabar Sayaya – Sayaya – Tashar Icce Road (24km); Eka – Kadandani – Kuraye – Yargamji Road (21km); Sandamu – Baure – Babban Mutum Road (75km), etc. All these are currently being funded to ensure their early completion and utilization by the people of Katsina State.

Inspite of the lean financial resources, the present administration has under the 2016 Budget awarded Contracts for the Construction of 40km Gora – Makaurachi – Mallamawa Road, at an Estimated Total Cost of N2,643,382,903.91 which has recorded 29% progress; 50km Dutsin-ma – Tsaskiya – Babban Duhu – Kukar Samu Road at the cost of N3,288,292,097.71 with 12% progress; and 38km Fago – Katsayal – Kwasarawa – Jirdede – Koza Road which was awarded at the cost of N1,909,827,028.49 and has recorded 34.6% progress.

Also, the State Government has recently awarded Contract for upgrading of Katsina Township Streetlights at the cost of N136,112,645.56. The project is at an advanced stage of execution.

AJIYA, MAJIDADI AND GARKUWAN MATAWALLEN HAUSA.

AJIYA, MAJIDADI AND GARKUWAN MATAWALLEN HAUSA.

My attention was drawn to a post that I posted in the evening of Tuesday, concerning the turbaning of senior aides, Alh Ibrahim Umar (Teacher) and Haruna Musa by HRH, the Emir of Daura which I was unable to verify before I made the post.

They were actually conferred with these honorary titles by the Matawallen Hausa, and from the information I posted, I honestly mistook the title's names by assigning Majidadin Matawallen Hausa to Alh Ibrahim Teacher and Garkuwan Matawallen Hausa to Haruna Musa.

While in a real sense, Alh Ibrahim Teacher was conferred as Ajiyan Matawallen Hausa while Mustapha Abdu Saulawa as Majidadin Matawallen Hausa and Hon Sani Aliyu Danlami Garkuwan Matawallen Hausa.

It is my apology for my inability as human being to confirmed the information that I received from a brother and assigned the correct traditional tittle names conferred to these senior aides which they were honored with by the Matawallen Hausa, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari.

SIR AHMADU BELLO'S (SARDAUNA OF SOKOTO) XMAS MESSAGE TO NORTHERN CHRISTMAS IN 1959

SIR AHMADU BELLO'S (SARDAUNA) XMAS MESSAGE TO NORTHERN CHRISTIANS IN 1959.

We are people of many different races, tribes and religions, who are knit together by common history, common interests and common ideals. Our diversity maybe great but the things that unite us are stronger than the things that divide us. Families of all creeds and color can rely on these assurance. We have no intention of favoring one religion at the expense of another. Subject to overriding need to preserve law and order, it is our determination that every one should have absolute liberty to practice his belief. It is befitting on this momentous day, on behalf of my ministers and myself, to send a special word of gratitude to all christian missions. Let me conclude this with a personal message, I extend my greetings to all our people who are christians on this great feast day. Let us forget the difference in our religion and remember the common brotherhood before God, by dedicating ourselves afresh to the great tasks which lie before us.

My take:

Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardauna of Sokoto, a former Premier of the Northern Nigeria, a true nationalist, an icon of justice and unity, a role model. He unequivocally and undoubtedly proved his patriotism.

He had really sent a confederative word to our fellow christian brothers and sisters calling for our unity. Denoted the coalition of our country Nigeria that has different ethnicities and religious practitioners to stands as one entity. I honestly appreciated his message that had reiterated and emphasized us to live happily in love, peace, unity, harmony, appreciation and understanding the differences of one another. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Therefore, I will like to seize this opportunity, on behalf of myself, my family, APC administration and others, to send my warmly xmas's message to all of my christian friends lively in this medium.

VISUAL ASPECT EXPLAINS NOT THE HIDDEN ASPECT - Hassan Usman Datti

VISUAL ASPECT EXPLAINS NOT THE HIDDEN ASPECT

I vividly remembered the 2015 political dispensation, in which Governor Masari was not exception among the Governorship contestants through which he was elected the Executive Governor.

As earlier noted, Governor Masari contested for the office of the Executive Governor under the APC Platform, after he worn the primary election with overwhelming majority. He was fielded as the party candidate to face the PDP ruling party in the General Election. His candidacy had meet with great challenges, the fire was actually ignited and heated by thje PDP cohorts and their loyalists who made number of attempts to destroy Masari's reputation and personality but their mischief became casual, they have instigated lies against his innocent unique individual, they did all what they could in their power in order to tarnish his image and take away from his side thousands of legible voters to carry the majority votes during the 2015 polls but at last they woefully failed.

One incident that I remember which I couldn't forget in my life, it was the acts of thuggery and banditry which the Restoration Project Support Group (Masari Campaign Office) became a victim, they attacked our campaign office and destroyed properties worth huge amount of money. They thought attacking Masari and his campaign team, might could set  a fear and grief in our minds but that transformed to energy that made us strong to challenge them in the 2016 General Election.

During the PDP Electioneering Campaign Tour, Masari have been called after several negative names over the podium, they falsely accused him with so many allegations, they deliberately teared aparts his personality in the eyes of good people of Katsina State, via motion pictures, over the air, through the social media community and in the people gathering all in the name of politics.

But, today in Allah's glory and marcy Masari is the one who got the victory, he is the one that is stirring our affairs, he is the one that is fixing the mismanagement done by the past administration, he is the one that is restoring our hope  to make Katsina State great again. He is the number one Katsina citizen, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari, CFR, fnim (Dallatun Katsina).

Life is dynamic, there is no thing in life that is constant and steady fast. There a lot of lessons in life. One lesson I leant and felt sharing it with you. When the Shema was in power, he was highly respected and honored by all of his cabinets, masses and some people from other part of the world. Though, knowing that of his greediness and selfishness, embezzlement and mismanagement but that doesn't seem reason to interfere in his administration by elites and members of his cabinet for forwarding pieces of advise.

Today Shema was no longer the Governor of Katsina and we saw where he end up in EFCC custody. What a shame for a former Governor that earned the respect and honor to be in a custody even for an hour. It is really a shameful and bad fate. In democratic government, leadership with deliverance of justice, transparency and dividend of democracy is only what unhooked actions of a leader when it was hooked with charges in a court, in this world and hereafter.

Lastly,I seek Almighty Allah (SWA) to guide, protect Governor Masari and members of his council and bless every decision they took through out the first and second tenures of APC Administration.

THE MAN WHO FORSAKE HIS COMFORT FOR A LOVE TO HIS MENTOR

Going back into history of Katsina State political practices, I must remembered the political career of Wada Protocol, the Senior Special Assistant Protocol to current sitting Governor of Katsina State, Dallatun Katsina, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari.

Did you know that this gentle man sacrifice a lot of his comfort to support the Governor Masari's governorship aspiration since his first attempt in 2007?

Mustapha Wada Saulawa was a chief protocol officer to the late former Governor of Katsina State and Second democratically elected Governor, Late Mallam Umar Musa Yar'adua between 2003 and 2006, at during those days he met with challenging obstacles on his official assignments which eventually lead to his dismissal from serving the late Umar Yar'adua from the office he was occupied. His dismissal was as the result of his love, loyalty and maximum support he had shown to the Masari's Governorship aspiration then.

Since before the trumpet blown for the Fourth Republic Politics, Wada was known together with Governor Masari. He was also in Katsina State Civil Service, serving as Director. When Wada received a dismissal letter from the late Yar'adua's administration he courageously stand up against all odds and utilized the available advantages and back himself into service. When Shema sworn in in 2007 as the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Wada was started being mistreated and threatened, but that did not became a reason to Wada to withdraw his support to Nasari.

Nevertheless, it was during then Shema administration, Mustapha Wada had faced uncountable number of intimidation and harassment, he was got demotion twice all because of his loves to Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari. He was demoted from the position of Director to Asst. Director, he was bullied with different number of transfers to various number of Ministries and Departments. He take heart and courage, and proceed with the struggle and giving his total support to Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari.

This gentle man, is counts among the top three persons that seriously shows their uttermost loyalty and support to the present Katsina State Governor, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari. Indeed, Masari Political history will not forget the name of Mustapha Abdu Saulawa.

CRTICISM IS NORMAL TRADITION IN POLITICS

CRITICISM IS NORMAL TRADITION IN POLITICS

In my little knowledge and experience in politics, I leant that criticism is the normal tradition in politics which it is an opportunity given to the opposition parties who engaged desperately and uncontrollably in sighting out failure of the ruling party or government if there is any and making it known to the masses that are being leads. Meanwhile, to intimate the ruling class with the failure for taking the necessary measures for readiness and correctness, or to use that failure for their political advantages by putting them into consideration to serves as their campaign inputs for voting out the ruling party. It may therefore means that for weakening the strength of the ruling class where they have a strong hold and masses absolute supports and create sense of suspicious. In my opinion, I see the above analysis can stand strongly as the reasons for criticism in politics.

In the political ethics guiding the concept of practicing the politics, criticism is not a sin as long as the critic is criticizing the actions of the actors fairly base on scholarly facts and well known to people. Morality will come fourth to be consider as our guiding principle in justifying whether some one's wrong or right deserve condemnation or recommendation. You may criticize unconstructively a hundred times for free but you can't discourage the unrelenting effort of our dear Governor in making Katsina State forward.

It is unfortunate, that some among the young political class criticizes even the system normal procedures of the scheme of things. While these critics forgot to remember the past administration that have diverted, mismanaged and squandered their fund in the name of good leadership, who are absolutely deserve the pens' hot side. I have a hope that Katsina will be great in the hand of Governor Masari and be rest assured that, as long as Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari is on the mantle of leadership of our dear state, we will have no regrets at all. Am quite sure that his actions and policies will make Katsina great and needs not the pen and hot ink of critic to make them work.

All what am trying to point out here is that, do not waste your energy to make unfairly criticism that will not add any value to the system unless heating the politics and changing the political atmosphere, to do a justice, criticize what is not right and recommend what is right. Most of us here knows that, the right and wrong thing stands differently and oppositely, likewise the right policy and wrong policy are visible to every eye neither a blind's eye nor disable's eye. Who ever done what is right he knows it deeply into his heart he done the righty thing.

Am not welcoming unconstructive and unobjective criticisms. That all.

BRAIN DAIN IN THE YOUNG POLITICAL CLASS

BRAIN DRAIN IN THE YOUNG POLITICAL CLASS

The way it has stated well insha Allah its the way it's going to end. The aspirations for the new Nigeria by our leaders and fellow patriotic Nigerian it is seem suffering in the hands of some of our Brain Drain Young Political Class, who were engaged in total condemnation and unobjective criticism to APC led administration. Despite the fact that, the sitting government both at the National and State level have came up with the long term benefit policies well known to every meaning Nigerian.

Here in my state, Katsina there are a lot to mention but few among the prioritized sectors of Governor Masari led administration; Agriculture, Water Resources, Health Care Services  and Education. Since before the  inception of this administration effort had been made to improve and tackle the worry some problem that has being hindering the goals attainment in these sectors.

In the effort of the sitting Governor, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari had set up several committees with different term of reference to come up with reports for putting into effect, well Governor Masari is doing all his best to restore the lost glory of the state, but he alone can't make it with out the total support of the good people of Katsina State.

Yeah! every one of us is aware that this administration had made several promises in different occasions in which it had fulfilled some and on the way of fulfilling others. To my surprise, instead of the fellow young political class to support the effort of the APC Administration they rather choosed to indulged in unnecessary and unobjective critics which in one way or the other will not solve anything especially the economic meltdown our country got itself.

Even a blind can testify the achievements so far recorded by this government, Education and Health Care Sectors are enough to justify the effort of Governor Masari in his quest to take Katsina State to highest level of development. Nevertheless, the  much energy he is putting in place to make the pipe board water supply reach every nook and cranny of the state, urban and rural areas. Improving dry/wet season farming by injecting modern technical skills and providing adequate fertilizer which is also gaining the momentum across the state. In the other sectors, he is doing all what is possible and necessary to satisfy the needs of the Katsina State citizens.

My advice to fellow young politicians, let us support the APC led administration and pray for their success, pray for revival of our economic situation. Allah (SWA) alone knows what tomorrow hold, but Governor mean goodness to his dear people.

INDIMI: LET MODESTY BE OUR GUIDE - Maiwada Dammallam

INDIMI: LET MODESTY BE OUR GUIDE - Maiwada Dammallam

Indimi was inconsiderate by being overtly extravagant in his ostentatious display of love to the daughter of President Buhari. I expect him (as a son to be) to be mindful of the image of his soon to be father. I expect him to protect or at least preserve the image of simplicity and modesty associated with President Buhari especially at this period when the President is saddled with the onerous task of nursing a raped economy amidst real and phantom wails of hunger.

Sure, the groom could easily lessen the burden of the President by being modest even if he could afford Harrods and its staff. He could even make it better by deploying the millions spent for the 'lefe' on numerous IDPs that constitute some of the greatest worries of President Buhari. Coming from Borno, there's no better time for the groom to the express his gratitude to Almighty Allah for HIS favours which insulated him from the pains of unplanned destitution and looming hopelessness as is the average narrative in Borno and the North East.

I don't know what contributions Indimi might have made but, whatever, N40m is quite a huge sum that could change the story of many disrupted families and restore smile back into their lives. Indimi wasted a good opportunity to show solidarity to his people by just being modest. Of course, Borno is notorious when it comes to issues of ostentatious display of wealth during marriages, but then, it's not a divine law that could not be adjusted to accommodate inconvenient situations as we have in the North East.

Assuredly, President Buhari will never sanction such an outrageous display of insensitivity especially at a time when he's battling to restore sanity and confidence into a traumatised system. For all I believe, the exotic vehicles loaded with the 30 LV boxes must have caught him unaware as it did many Nigerians. It's not the tradition to alert the bride's family about what to expect as 'lefe' hence, I won't blame him for supporting this extravagance. Actually I doubt if such crass insensitivity would impress the President especially given the fact that his daughter doesn't really need laces or whatever was loaded inside the LV boxes.

In my opinion, scholarships to kids who lost their parents to BH insurgency or blocks of classrooms in villages being rebuilt in Borno State could have earned a special place for the groom in the mind of the President beside the huge reward Indimi would reap in the hereafter.

NIGERIA'S 'DECLINE' TO EXELLENT PRIVATE SCHOOLS - Maiwada Dammallam

NIGERIA'S 'DECLINE' TO EXCELLENT PRIVATE SCHOOLS - Maiwada Dammallam

"Nigerian public varsities graduates cannot compete with my secondary school students" - Atiku Abubakar

Nothing could be more believable than former VP, Atiku Abubakar's statement above. It's a truism that's as hurtful as falsity. Abubakar's ABTI-AMERICA UNIVERSITY is among the best not only in Nigeria but on this part of the globe. It's our local version of Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore or Columbia University, New York both made exclusively out of reach for the less privileged.

Yes, AAU is simply 'the best education money can buy' in Nigeria. Congratulations to VP Atiku Abubakar for his success to add such value to the upper class Nigerians. Let's pray someday the less privileged could enjoy the benefits.

However, where Abubakar's success ends, there starts Nigeria's sad, pitiable and repulsive story of avoidable failure. Truly, a graduate of Abubakar's secondary school is by far ahead of a Nigerian public university graduated student; those caught within the period when universities were degrading while private universities were doing wonderfully well while being managed by the same set of managers on different terms though.

The truism here is that: public universities used to be just as good (or even better) than any private university of today as could be proven by the intellectual, commercial, political, social, and academic finesse of the founders of today's private educational 'wonder centers'. By their uncanny ability to hold Nigeria to ransom for best part of the century, one need not to be convinced about the quality of the system that produced them which they replaced with something exclusively for the high and mighty.

My generation couldn't be luckier than the generation of proprietors of today's private universities yet, even in my preparatory years, a primary school certificate could pin to the ground university degree of today. Something that always flash into my mind each time I came across a situation depicting decline of education in Nigeria was a personal incident. I was in primary 3 in LEA Unguwar Rimi, Kaduna, then a very beautiful educational environment which is now sandwiched in the noisiest part of U/Rimi.

A new class mistress was brought to my class. As was traditional, she went round assessing the class. When she reached me, she asked me to spell 'hymn' which I did correctly. I think she chose me for 'hymn' seeing I was Muslim and couldn't have learned 'hymn' by accident but by learning which would give her a fair assessment of the class. 'Hymn' is one of those words that a non Christian could never know without being taught. Nobody could know 'hymn' without knowing what it means. I still can visualize her expression when she patted my head and said "well-done".

That was the story of education before Nigeria lost it to 'pocket-instincts'. By the way, (in-between this article) I just called my 'English-Graduate' niece and asked her to spell 'hymn' which she failed unabashedly. The lesson: If our rested system of education could inculcate even knowledge of seeming irrelevant (as 'hymn' is to a Muslim kid) at such an early stage, only God knows what was relevant knowledge was installed in brains of students of my generation. Perhaps, that's the reason 'private school' was alien to my generation and couldn't have make any sense back then whatsoever.

The big question facing Nigerians is whether to laugh or cry faced with the inconvenience of a lone option of watching private schools structured to serve the needs of only the nouveau riche soaring high while institutions catering for the needs of he larger majority are barely able to roll out 'half-done' graduates that would be so ill-equipped hence, would remain a liability to themselves and the society. Is it not absurd that Nigeria has since graduated from unemployed to unemployable graduates despite the acumen and dexterity of an ungrateful generation who exploits our sad situations rather than nurse it back to health.

It says a lot about our carelessness to details that within the leadership triangle of OBJ, IBB and Atiku exist the best 3 private educational institutions in Nigeria when it's provable that public educational institutions suffered the most under their collective supervision. And these are the same people whose hefty bills are still being picked by the government in the name of pension when teachers and university lectures who exhausted the best part of the muscles and brain fuel keeping public institutions afloat by 'patch-work' daily are being denied incentives for their sacrifices.

Why shouldn't private secondary students beat public university graduates under these terms? The atmosphere is conducive for that. It is neither magic nor business dexterity that tilted the result in favour of the private institutions. It's simply business logic - create a need and fulfill it. Public institutions have been raped, bastardized and hopelessly trapped in a vicious cycle of deprivation and neglect by successive regimes. Th end result, over stretched facilities, depressed teachers and lecturers. Is it any wonder we are harvesting graduates that only pass through educational institutions without educational institutions passing through them?

Solution:

Let's go back to the drawing board and start afresh to catch up with the best of the privileged. We have a duty to give back what we were given in kind - that which made most of us what we are free of charge.

THEY WILL STRIP JONATHAN NAKED FOR FREE ANY OTHER DAY - Maiwada Dammallam

THEY WILL STRIP JONATHAN NAKED FOR FREE ANY OTHER DAY - Maiwada Dammallam

Street urchins and spiders have one thing in common. Spiders are happy to eat other spiders and so does street urchins. You can't raise both in big groups for commercial purposes. Perhaps, that may explain just a handful of street urchins rather than a reasonable crowd that could reflect the budget for the sponsored show of solidarity for former President Jonathan by the sacked and fully deactivated former lords of Sokoto politics.

Had a good laugh watching the tattered kids praying for the return of the 'deadly Jonah' in the ancient city where he went to console the sultanate on the death of one of its illustrious sons, former Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki. That in itself is a display of the level of intellect of the organisers of the 'Jonathan-is-still-relevant' charade in the Sultanate. They were so miserly to afford a decent crowd despite the billions of blood money they are holding tight to like a second life.

Nothing could be more entertaining than watching a fool trying to exhaust his natural share of foolishness by 'wasting' trying to fool the smart - especially those taught to be smart by difficult experiences. A mixture of black coffee and red palm oil on a hot morning would make more sense than Sokoto people praying for the return of Jonathan at least, to those still in full possession of their minds - those not psychologically disorganised by Jonathan-induced bombs and IEDs.

The 'Nigerian' fact is, with a fraction of the N4bn 'prayer vote' allocated to a seasoned Sokoto 'political Alfa', those urchins would wholeheartedly and enthusiastically campaign for Jonathan to be turbaned the Sultan of Sokoto. By the way, where were these 'Jonathan come back' urchins that a colossal sum of N4bn was needed to pray for smooth sail of the Jonathan ship in the sultanate in those days? All the more reason why there should be refund. Or is it not yet c
lear that we were scammed? That's by the way.

In reality, not even kids on the streets of Otuake would pray for a replay of the disaster that was Jonathan's administration; not after the expose about what Nigeria really went through in the hands of Jonathan and his carefully selected gang of sugar-ant looters. What do they want him back for, the bombs or the gory sight of severed limps and shattered torsos in churches and mosques on Fridays and Sundays?

An inebriated man submerged in a mixed ocean of expired 'Kain-kain and Ogogoro' laced with powdered 'ganja' would have better sense than wish for the return of those horrific days. Jonathan was a disaster worse than tsunami! Actually the story is more about those who believe the stunt and seem ready to invest their dreams and build future political ambitions in it than those who, out of pressing gut demands, carried placards to fulfil their part of diabolic bargain.

The same urchins that were paid to carry the 'Jonathan come back' placards would gladly strip Jonathan naked and parade him round the streets of Sokoto with a rope around his waist for free moments after the expiration of their contract. Oh yes! It was wholly and completely a PAID relevance and shame on the people who chose to play politics with the gut instincts of the shortchanged kids. May Allah turn the table and put their kids on the other side to have a taste of praying for the return of a deadly, thieving and ineffective class of leadership for no better reason than to assuage an immediate gut demand.

For those with the stability to still think straight despite the trauma of our immediate past, this calls for immediate and appropriate response to the serious theft of our commonwealth by a handful few. Proceeds from the mind boggling collective heist perpetrated against Nigeria by members of the Jonathan administration would continue to be used to destabilise this administration for these thieves to have a clean break from their misdeeds. Only to those who move around with their brains in their pockets should this fail to make sense.

No one should be fooled. The Sokoto crowd is a creation of our immediate past as designed and moulded by the ineffective and disastrous PDP. Not in this lifetime would any Nigerian pray for have Joanthan back even as a news item.

PMB/DASUKI: NO BASIS FOR REVENGE - Maiwada Dammallam

PMB/DASUKI: NO BASIS FOR REVENGE - Maiwada Dammallam

"As I said in my inaugural speech, I bear no ill will against anyone on past events. Nobody should fear anything from me. We are not after anyone. People should only fear the consequences of their actions" - President Buhari

Against calls in the social media for President Buhari to forgive and allow former NSA, Sambo Dasuki to attend the funeral of his father who died yesterday evening, I find it imperative to explain a thing or two in regard to the imaginary feud between President Buhari and Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd)

For what I know about the military and its traditions especially in regard to hierarchy and orders, Sambo Dasuki lacked the capacity to allow or deny PMB the privilege of being allowed to witness the funeral of his mother when she died while he was under detention. For people to start thinking President Buhari will take his pound of flesh from Sambo Dasuki based on hallucinatory assumptions, to say the least it's weird and the clearest proof of lack of grasp of common basics of democracy.

President Buhari was the boss of Dasuki's boss. For God sake Dasuki was just an ADC to President Babangida - a glorified servant. PMB will not stoop so low to blame a mere ADC for his travails when he knew there was a powerful and 'maradonic' President bent on destroying him politically, physically and psychologically. Who was Dasuki back then to have such powers with the Abachas, the Dogonyaros and other hyper-ambitious hawks bent on destroying President Buhari to consolidate their grip on the political structure of Nigeria.

Debating whether President Buhari should or should not allow the release of Dasuki to attend the funeral of his late father is something being done without recourse to the concept of justice, democracy and leadership. How many Nigerians are languishing in various prisons and holding cells and, out of them how many were ever given preferential treatment by the President for Dasuki to be extended same courtesy?

The President's oath of office demand he deals with Nigerians equally without fear or favour, ill-will or affection. If, by any chance, some of the pundits wish to have the President exercise the powers of his office and extend the courtesy of using 'prerogative of mercy' for this sad occasion, they should know that the courtesy is exclusively reserved for convicted prisoners not suspects under the custody of courts. And it should be noted that the distinction between judiciary and executive is glaringly clear under democracy for anybody to assume President Buhari could just cross over, deactivate a court order and direct a special favour for somebody.

By the way, President Buhari's incarceration by the Babangida junta and Dasuki's detention by this administration are two different things entirely without a fleck of similarity. Whereas President Buhari was detained by the military against the laws of the land, Dasuki's detention was sanctioned by a court of competent jurisdiction. Using his office to countermand a valid decision of a competent court of law would send a very bad signal to Nigerians especially at this point when all hands are on deck to purge the judiciary and update its moral and professional settings.

In any case, Dasuki was not detained at the whim and caprice of President Buhari otherwise, rtd Cols. Abdulmumin Aminu, Umar Dangiwa, Lawan Gwadabe would all be languishing in jail with him. Yet, not a single one of them is facing any harassment from this administration. Dasuki is in prison for his role in misusing a colossal sum of $2.8bn for purchase of arms to curtail the menace of insurgency when he served as NSA. His case is neither personal nor targeted. It's purely a case between the State and Dasuki and it shouldn't be given any other definition.

May Allah in HIS infinite mercy forgive the sins of former Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki and reward his good deeds with jannatil firdaus.

RE-SAD DEVELOPMENT IN KATSINA By Hassan U. Datti

PLEASE YOUR ATTENTION, RE-SAD DEVELOPMENT IN KATSINA

It is well known that Governor Masari has leave his door open to all and sundry for forwarding any kind of suggestions into his governance for carrying the state to higher level of development. This was why this government provided a suggestion box to each Thirty Four Local Government of the state.

Today, I was able to came across a post, which the writer accused Governor Masari of arresting and attacking one active user of this community over a post that has to do with issue of security in the state, most likely of the recent incident of the murder committed by some thugs (Kauraye).

The accuser described this activist as one among the best persons who contributed a lot in campaigning the candidature of Governor Masari during the 2015 General Elections. Sir, am sorry to say this activist you are referring and depending was one among the PDP members that gave his unrelenting effort to get the PDP in power then, who up till the 2015 General Election was in the PDP's payroll. He never at once or twice campaigned for Governor Masari or any one belonging to the APC Party.

How on earth, will somebody agreed that Governor Masari will order an arrest of somebody for just tried to show his dissatisfaction on the security issue of the state. Governor Masari is not kind of the past leaders who attacked people unreasonably for commenting into their governance. In fact, Masari is not aware about this matter.

The activist was interfere wth the work of security personnels which we all known that is a professional body that needs absolute secrecy. That was the reason the activist was invited by the C.I.D at the Police Headquarters to answer some questions relevant to what he wrote. There was no any body that forced this activist to delete his post, might be, it was the security personnels asked him to, or I may either say, after this activities knew the implication of his action he decided to deleted the post.

It is really sad and injustice to judged between two parties with out hearing and knowing the actual happening between them. Please, let us joined hands together and assist this government in fulfilling its undertook promises. Let us stop spreading hatred between us and government.

DEATH PENALTY TO PDP - By Hassan U. Datti

DEATH PENALTY TO PDP

Victory and failure are indispensable fact. Direction, discipline, dedication and determination are the real factors granting the success, making men to become victorious in a field designed and planned to quench one's thirst of success. One might fail several time in the course of becoming a victor but as much as the antecedent is remarkable, victory is the answer. No one like the failure, people resorted to failure when there is no other alternative. To sum it up, reputation either positive or negative is what justify the victory in every cause of action.

I do sincerely believes that a responsible person with maturity mind could not agree and believe the assertion of a political sect of some individuals who shamelessly with no hesitation daring victory to the People Democratic Party (PDP) by describing the party as the one which will emerged victorious come 2019, and take the country and some other states ruling by the All Progressive Congress (APC) where my state Katsina was not exception in this unprophetic assertion which I rated as aggressive propaganda. I don't believed that who sowed a seed could reaped a nut. What you have given out is exactly what is coming back to you either nemesis or reward, These two words are constant facts in the course of every action been acted upon an emotional desire.

The experience we have, the evident destruction we have seen, the difficulties we have gone through are enough to put as data in identifying the monster among the innocents. If we could remember precisely, during the sixteen years the PDP administration, they have done all what they felt doing in the name of governing our affairs, they misused the opportunities given to them, looted and squandered our fund during then the economy is stable and sustainable. Which if utilized properly and appropriately could builds our nation, especially our younger generation to stands on their feet, that are now a days roaming on streets, could revamps our hospitals to the international standard, could provide qualitative and standard education in the public schools, Agricultural Sector could also be improve by injecting new skills of farming and food production in regards to the modern technology, but all these to no avail because of their unpatriotism.

We have not been in a so far journey that our starting point could be out of our sight, although our unrelenting effort of getting to our destiny is energized but still we can remember the moments we heard your voices on air, watched your programs on TV sets and witnessed your political gatherings where you used to accused and abused our candidates, stakeholders and other personalities of our great party all in the name of politics. In Allah's mercy and favor today, you're out, you're not in the mantle of leadership, and you will never be again. Please note that, your reputation is your Judge, no matter how long it will take this Judge must make sure that justice prevails.

Chanting PDP Power will never frighten us, we knows in the real sense you're not, you are just a bunch of vulgar crow. You are only powerful when it come to cheating, stealing and misappropriation of public fund. You better stop calling your party the most peaceful and united party where the sanity reigned, don't you know that we are aware of the situation PDP got it self, I might ought to say this party (PDP) is full with controversy, confusion and chaos at all level, from the National Level down to Ward Level, it was factionalized into several political sect. all these were in respect to the reputation of their greediness, covetous, fickle in the course of their personal aggrandizements at helm of public affairs which I therefore tagged as negative antecedent in the public offices. It is noticed that, they do have no any other way to resolve and ratify the common challenges that became a cankerworm diseases into you party even they might try thousand times to contend the situation, they must resorted to the situation.

Hassan Usman Datti.
