KATSINA STATE OPPOSITION PARTIES' GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATES STEPS DOWN


Twelve (12) out of the seventeen (17) gubernatorial candidates of various political parties in katsina state have step down their contest for  Governor Aminu Bello Masari re election bid.

The state chairman of Inter Party Advisory  Council, Alhaji Musa Usman Wamba Funtua  announced the endorsement of Governor Masari at Government house, katsina.

Alhaji Musa Wamba further revealed that fifty five out of seventy two political parties with offices in katsina state have endorsed the candidature of president Muhammad Buhari for second term in office.

One of the Gubernatorial candidates,Alhaji Lawal Abubakar Bagiwa who spoke on behalf of the other candidates said they are stepping down for Governor Masari because of their conviction that he is the better person to continue learning the state from 2019 to 2023. He assured that they would work assiduously for the victory of APC candidates in katsina state.

In a remark,  the state chairman of APC, Alhaji Shitu S Shitu assured that they would be treated justly by Governor Masari in the next dispensation.

He expressed the hope that the remaining five Gubernatorial candidates would also throw in the towel before the first cast of ballot on second of March.

Responding,  Governor Aminu Bello Masari expressed gratitude to the 12 gubernatorial candidates for stepping down for him to emerge victorious in the elections.
Alhaji Aminu Masari assured that the gesture would not easily be forgotten and would be reciprocated.

The state chairman of campaign conuncil and secretary to katsina state government, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa and the Director General of the campaign conuncil, Alhaji Muntari Lawal were in attendance during the stepping down ceremony.
